Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us. I learned so much in this class and the things I learned are going to save so much time in the design process. The discussion and Q&A were just as helpful as the course materials. It is so nice to connect with others who have similar questions.

Pattern Grading Made Easy is for experienced designers and technical editors who want to grow their income by expanding their skills to pattern grading (sizing). • How long is the course?

This is a self-study course with lessons dripped out every 7 day for 4 weeks - you go at your own pace on your own. I would recommend that you complete one lesson each week to give yourself enough time to work through the material. You're free to go back and reference old modules any time you need - so no matter what happens, you can go back and review the information.

  • What if I'm just starting out?

This course focuses on grading. While you don't need to own a design and tech editing business or be a tech whiz, this class is designed to help designers and technical editors with an understanding of designing. Students must already have a working knowledge of designing as this course will not teach you how to design.

  • What makes this course different?

First, all of the techniques, tools, and strategies I share are proven with over a decade in the industry, working with indie designers and major publications. These tactics I shave have been successfully tested by myself and my clients. A lot of what I teach you might already know. But the reality is that even the best advice and information you have at your fingertips is worthless if you don't know how to apply it. That's why I just don't give you the "what", but I show you "how", and the "why" behind it. Unlike other courses, I give you both the techniques to use and a clear roadmap to implement them using my many years of experience.

  • What are the lessons like?

There are 25 lessons total, including a bonus lesson on how to calculate yardage. Every lesson breaks down a new grading principle step-by-step. Several lessons include links to help videos to help you to fully understand the information you're learning.
